Welcome to the Providence College Bookstore. You can find all of your course material requirements quickly and easily. Not only do we sell everything you need to succeed in school such as textbooks, notebooks, pens, pencils, and folders, calculators, and batteries, but we also sell school spirit apparel and giftware. Choose from our variety of clothing items such as sweatshirts, pants, tee shirts, and hats. We also have banners, car decals, drinkware, snacks, health and beauty items, and medicine.

The Providence College Bookstore is located on the lower level in the Slavin Student Center.

Fall and Spring Semester Bookstore Hours of Operation:

  • Monday – Thursday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Friday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
  • Saturday, 11:00 am to 4:00 pm
  • Sunday, CLOSED

We are open weekends and breaks; however, our business hours are subject to change. Please call ahead for current updates.

Summer Bookstore Hours of Operation:

  • Monday – Thursday, 10:00am to 4:00pm
  • Friday, 10:00am to 12:00pm
  • Saturday – Sunday, CLOSED

Visit our website to view of selection of merchandise. Some of the merchandise on our website is also found in our Bookstore. Merchandise that is processed and shipped directly from the manufacturer is noted in the item description.

If ordering textbooks, please keep in mind that before you “submit” your order, your “shopping cart” will display an order summary. This summary states your “estimated total” based on the textbook options you selected. If a “used” textbook is not available, we will substitute it for a “new” textbook and your final total will be higher than the current estimates. This message appears twice, before you check out. You will NOT be billed the ACTUAL TOTAL until we pick and process your order.

Tenders Accepted at the Bookstore

The Bookstore accepts cash, all major credit cards, Barnes & Noble giftcards, and PC Cash.

Important Information About Refunds and Exchanges

Our REFUND POLICY is posted throughout our Bookstore, on the back of our receipts, and on our website. NO REFUND will be given without a Bookstore receipt. Items must be returned in accordance with our Refund Policy to receive a full refund.

Clothing and Giftware Returns [In-Store Purchases Only]:

  • Returning merchandise purchased “in-store” will be accepted either “in-store” or shipped back to the Bookstore. Customers are responsible for any shipping and handling fees associated with RETURNING or EXCHANGING merchandise.
  • All merchandise must be in original condition and packaging.
  • FULL REFUNDS will be issued in the original form of payment, with receipt, within fourteen (14) days of purchase
  • Please include your telephone number on a copy of your register receipt.
  • Upon receipt of your return, we will call you for your credit/debit card information.
  • Customers are responsible for any shipping and handling fees associated with RETURNING or EXCHANGING merchandise.
  • Please return your package to: The PC Bookstore / Slavin Center / 1 Cunningham Square / Providence, RI 02918.

NOTE: It can take up to ten (10) business days for the Bookstore to receive and process your return. Refunds to credit/debit cards will be applied upon processing, but may not immediately appear on your bank statement. It may take up to 2 – 7 business days for this refund to reflect on your account.

Clothing and Giftware Returns [Online Purchase Only]:

  1. The process for returning merchandise ordered through our website must be completed online through our RETURN PORTAL. This will ensure that customers receive the refund of payment.
  2. On our website, click on the “Apparel and Spirit Shop” tab, located at the top of our Home Page, next to the “Bookstore” tab.
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the “Apparel and Spirit Shop” page. In the black highlighted section, under the “Worry Free Shopping”, click on “Return Policy”.
  4. The “Return Process” page will appear. Complete the required information to begin the return process.
  5. Once the online return is started through our website, customers will receive a FedEx return shipping label and will be refunded immediately. The label will send the product back to the original point of purchase, whether shipped from the Warehouse or the Bookstore.
  6. Orders fulfilled from the Warehouse WILL NOT be accepted in the Bookstore. These products MUST BE shipped back to the Warehouse. Please use the FedEx return shipping label.
